Web Design / Development

Although I have designed and developed a number of web sites over the years, many have since been altered or moved, so rather than show you old projects which may have changed since I created them, I will instead show you my latest designs, many of which have been built within the last few months:

Client: NSW TEC / Agency: In House

I was recently approached by the New South Wales Teacher Education Council to produce a new, stylish, contemporary site, and they were very happy with the final result.

Client: Arclight Films  /  Agency: In House

I was commissioned to completely redesign the web site of Arclight Films, a major international film sales agent representing titles such as The Bank Job and more.

Client: InFestation  /  Agency: In House

Impressed with my Arclight Films work, Festivals Manager Linda Kearns approached me to build the web site for her own start-up film company, InFestation.

HTML Email / Newsletter Design

Both during my employment at PeopleLogic - one of Australia's leading e-communication companies - and since leaving to work for myself, I have designed a multitude of newsletters for the IT, Education, Finance and Leisure industries, as well as the Australian Government and a number of Non-Profit organisations. Please find a small selection of these templates below:

Client: Tynan Motors  /  Agency: In House

Tynan Motors, one of Sydney's largest and most respected car dealerships, approached me to set up a new email newsletter for them. Here's what I came up with.

Client: Arclight Films  /  Agency: In House

I recently redesigned Arclight Films' email newsletters in preparation for this year's Cannes Film Festival, updating Arclight, Darclight and Easternlight templates.

Client: Le Meridien Hotels  /  Agency: PeopleLogic

Le Meridien Hotels has 120 luxury hotels in over 50 countries. I have produced a number of newsletters for them, including Meetings and Christmas templates.

Client: Oxfam  /  Agency: PeopleLogic

Oxfam Australia is a non-profit community-based aid organisation. They required a well laid out, strictly branded newsletter to keep their supporters up-to-date.

Client: Young Endeavour  /  Agency: PeopleLogic

Young Endeavour is a very worthwhile youth training scheme set on a beautiful sailing ship. They required a two column newsletter with a bold, nautical theme.

Client: Fred Hollows  /  Agency: PeopleLogic

The Fred Hollows Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to preventing blindness in the underprivileged, and their branded newsletter focuses on this plight.

Client: Griffith University  /  Agency: PeopleLogic

Design for Griffith University's Student Administration newsletter. Brief was for a clean, vivid template which I apparently managed to nail on the first go :)

Client: Dreamworld  /  Agency: PeopleLogic

Dreamworld is Australia's largest family theme park. They wanted a newsletter which was fun, unique and family orientated, while still adhering to strict guidelines.

Client: Cbus Super  /  Agency: PeopleLogic

Cbus Super is an industry superannuation fund originating in the construction and allied industries, and they required a corporate newsletter to reflect this.

Client: The Export Centre  /  Agency: PeopleLogic

The Export Centre is a non-profit organisation which provides export advice. They wanted a fresh, new newsletter design, completely separate from their site.

Podcast Creation

From the hilarious series by Ricky Gervais to the insightful MacCast discussions and the invaluable Adobe Creative Suite tutorials, I have been listening to and learning from podcasts for quite some time now.

This enjoyment eventually led me to research the production of my own recordings, and after much practice and experimentation I believe I have now become quite proficient, whether it be sourcing the right equipment, editing audio, coding the necessary RSS/XML feeds or tagging sound files, so if you've been thinking about creating your own podcast series, but have no idea where to begin, I would be happy to offer my help and services:

Client: Addicted To Plastic  /  Agency: In House

I was approached to advise on, record, edit, tag, submit, publish and promote Addicted To Plastic's latest Blythe podcast episode, which can now be found on iTunes.

Copywriting

In addition to studying English at Oxford Brookes University and being an active member of The Writing School, I have also been editorial assistant to Habitat For Humanity's Habitat World magazine - which has a circulation of over 2 million worldwide - and have written a number of pop culture and technology-based articles, some of which you can view below:

Client: Eureka  /   Agency: PeopleLogic

I wrote 'Gmail, Google's free e-mail service is impressive, but...' to introduce Gmail and its benefits, plus highlight some of the potential privacy issues surrounding it.

Client: Eureka  /   Agency: PeopleLogic

'Open Your Mind to Open Office' is an article written to raise awareness of Open Office, a free, open source, cross-platform alternative to Microsoft Office.

Client: Eureka  /   Agency: PeopleLogic

With blogging gaining popularity at the time, I wrote 'Blogging rights' to explain blogging practices and provide examples of noteworthy blogs and services.
